Assignment 3- It's flood!

Assignmnet 3 is really very compact in the sense of workloads. We are supposed to create 4 lessons in different skills and we have to develop the lessons according to the topic given.I got Year 2 - Story Time Again. It actually sounds interesting and children love stories. So, i took this opportunity to create wonderful activities using stories. I explored stories well and attached games, puzzle solving, songs,animated pictures and digital cards as to make my lesson more effective in terms of the teaching aids as well as the entire lesson. It took about one week for me complete this assignment. Although at some points I got tired of the work but mostly it gives me excitement. I enjoyed it much!! Such assignment have provided me practice for my future lesson. I will never deny that i have gained plenty of ideas and methods on how to approach my pupils in future..Thanks to Ms Foziah!!

Assignment 2

Assignment 2 is a pair work and we are supposed to come out with two complete lesson plans for the primary classroom. My pair and I decided to divide our work as usual to make things easier. We have to use two video clips to use in our lesson. The first one is given by our lecture while the second one have to be found by us. So after much exploration in youtube, eventually I found a video entitled ' One two buckle my shoe'. It is a rhyme which contains numbers and the rhyming sentences for those numbers. I personally feel that it is very suitable to conduct reading lesson in the classroom. Since the video has two parts in it, it would be easy for teacher to divide the class into two and elect a group a role to read. Kids would love it because it is a new approach of reading. Add to the point, children will develop sense of competence by reading in group to perform their best. The entire process of attempting this assignment 2 wasd quite heavy for me because i got to prepare lesson plans and teaching materials and at the same time i had other course assingments to be done. But i took all that as a challenge and did my works by managing my time wisely. The next assignment is coming up and it sounds more challenging when the lecture gave us the description of it. Another big brigde to be crossed.

The Four Skills-Mine READING

We were required to be in groups of 4 and develop a lesson and activities for the chosen skill. As for me, i got reading skill. So, i decided to do e-book since it is very effective to deliver input in a more systematic and organised way. At the same time, pupils will enjoy and have fun with it since they are new to such materials. It is beyond the everyday classroom learning. Since the topic of my group is 'People', i planned to do about family because it is authentic and so much related to the pupils' real life. I explored deeply on a selected family where i introduced the family members and their interest. This can enable the pupils to connect the ideas to their own families. The journey into the process of completing my e-book and activities was just fine. I explored the pictures in yahoo image and add in animations of people to make the e-book lively. Not forgetting the fonts and background colour for the e-book.I feel that these elements play great role in a delivery of a lesson. I believe that students can be influenced by their emotions by looking at these elements. If a dull and dim colours are applied on the slides, for sure the pupils will be demotivated to even look at it.So, i tried my level best to make my e-book as colourful as possible by attaching animated pictures and wordings.

E-Book!

A new term is added into our resourse world. The "E-BOOK"! Actually, it sounds quite difficult and plenty of questions were cracking my head before i was actually exposed to it, but once we went through the lectures and some examples about it, it was not that BAD! I felt quite a kind of relief. Since, it was a pair work, i and my previous pair for video editing, Yana, joined again to make things much easier. Then, we took approximately one day for planning and discussion on what topic to be chosen. We came out with the topic "How do I go to school? ". It is very relevent to the primary pupils because it reflects on their real life. So, in my view, i believe that, pupils will pay more attention towards this topic. To add to the point, we tried our best to make our e-book the most colourful and attractive one by adding animations and audio music as to grab and remain their concentration towards the lesson.We somehow did it quite well...Since, the duration for this task felt on holidays, we divided the jobs equally and kept updating our work in e-mail and yahoo messenger. It helped us to keep track of our work.Then, after a while we got to know that we are to add story board and print out a copy of our e-book. With a rush, we were able to complete them as well. And at last, today we managed to compile the entire thing..

R.E.L.I.E.F

At last, we have done both of our video editing task. More excitement were faced by us rather than tension. Altough we were out on holidays, but we keep updating each other and divided our works well. For the pair, coincidently, i and Yana are from the same hometown. So, we met up in 'Kulim' public library and done our work happily. But at the same time, we chatted through yahoo messenger and kept upgrading the video. After all done,we had some hardshipsin uploading the video in youube. But, thank god it over with satisfaction.And, we got very good responses and comments from Pn Foziah and our friends. We feel its a success for us. Really happy for that.Next, what? Of course, looking forward how the next task going be.......

Hurry Up!

I would say for this week our task got more hyper in the sense of the work load.We were actually required to perform in 2 tasks involving video editing. One was a pair work and another one involves a group. It sound quite heavy and scare me at first. But, since i have the knowlegde on video editing in my technology course, it donated me alot of ideas and put my tense down. SO, as for now, we are preparing for the group task where we have to download a video about one of the 8TV programme and cut them and change it to a movie form. Since the due date is chasing us away, we got to do it by saturday. The pair work task has been discussed by myself and my collleague Yana. Actually, we had a few ideas crossing our minds, but after consoling with Mdm Foziah, we have decided on what exactly to be done. Our video is given the title " The Journey of Life". Now we are on the process of searching for colourful materials and pictures since it is one of the requirements. We will start working on our video soon. In my point of view, these tasks are very beneficial as it gives us practice and ideas on how to use video editing meaningfully.At the same time, it also ensure a quality work. To add to the point, we csn also use these concept in our classrooms with the kids in future. They would enjoy such things since they are still not well exposed to these things. So, hope we will do well on our tasks and gain more. Hope all of you will enjoy watching our video..

wonderful time on audio editing!

i will never deny that, i had a wonderful time throughout the process of audio editing. As the process goes, i learnt many functions of the software after exploring thoroughly on it. Now, i know how to edit, cut and paste an original song or a music into a different type of music. We can even change a sad sorrowful song to a hip hop song. It is possible with this software. I realised we can even mix a few preferable song and make it one song. Its simple super and i would say i always admire this elements and working more on it since my eagerness into it is always reaching the mountain..Now, im still on the process of creating my own audio music. its ver proud to say that, i am able to produce a music. My technlogy knowlegde is excelling too fast because of the exposure from this course! by the end, im sure il be more advanced in it ...with full of hopes...........
